The Stabile theatre is not to be found amongst Torinese theatres: it is in fact a theatrical company and school but, above all, one of the most important public theatrical bodies in Italy. Since 1955 it has offered a variety of performances in different theatres in the city. The list of shows to be performed is both applauded and criticised each year but it always gets a large crowd at the box office and at the season ticket desk in Via Roma.
