It is natural that in Europe's most magical city, the world's most famous seer, Nostradamus, had to have been present. The famous French doctor stayed in Turin for almost a year in 1556. Of course, what he was doing here remains a mystery, but a trace of his passing could be seen until a few years ago in the ruins of Villa Morozo, now totally demolished. On an external wall there was an engraved stone written in approximative French that indicated the villa was where the doctor had stayed. The stone was saved and is now part of a private collection. The legend, however, surrounds the words used in the inscription which would form the key for deciphering the famous prophecies of Nostradamus. If you wish to have a go, here is the full text: "1556 nostredamus a loge ici on il iia le paradis lenfer le pvrgatoire ie ma pelle la victoire qvi mhonore avrala gloire qvi me meprise ovra la rvuine hntiere." Good luck!
