This church was consecrated in 1654, but only became a parish in 1834. It was restored in 1853 and 1888 and was completely modernised in 1901 by Carlo Ceppi. He modified the facade and a dome and belltower were added. Vacca, Sciolli and Reardino all contributed to the decoration. It became a sanctuary in 1916.
